Mandala - Elemental Flow

With Malika

Join Malika for a two hour long Yoga Mandala experience,
on March 31th from 14:00 to 16:00.

This immersive experiences brings together
Breathwork, meditation, and a nourishing asana practice.

Mandala is a style of sequencing created by Yoga teacher Dulce Aguilar.
The practitioner will flow hereby between the front and back of the mat, changing direction constantly, and thus challenging strength, balance, and coordination.

This style is following an elemental theory of water, earth, air, and fire. Malika has put her own spin on this style by creating flows that not only are inspired by the energy of a specific element, but also correspond to the seasons of the year. 



Malika will create a unique and sensory experience through a carefully curated music playlist, different coloured lights and smells for the season, as well as live music during Shavasana.

Throughout the four workshops we will be traveling through different parts of our bodies.

We start with the air season, focusing on our heart and back.
The hot weather of summer calls in the fire element, and with a focus on twists along our spine.
During autumn we will dive into our back body and the sensation of grounding to honour the earth element.
We will finish the workshop series with our winter season in November, focusing on our groin and the hips.
By the end of 2024 we will have travelled through all the major parts of our muscles, worked with the four elements and called them into our practice.

Every class will be fundamentally different. The flowiness of the water-winter energy, the fiery energy of summer, the opening and lightness of air, and the grounding of earth, are all going to create different sensations in your body.

We can’t wait to welcome you into this deep exploration of your body in line with the seasons of the year.

UPCOMING SEASON


AiR ELEMENT - SPRING

During this first class on March 31th, we will work with the element of air, moving deep into the heart and back.The class starts with a 20 to 30 minute breathwork and meditation practice to arrive on the mat and sink into the breath and body. We then move into the asana part of the practice, opening the body with a few gentle yin poses before we dive into the strong Mandala Flow. We will finish off with some yin to balance out our energy and get ready for a long and juicy Shavasana.
